The love of my life ~ my happily ever after!

Love ~
"Love, as distinct from 'being in love,' is not merely a feeling. It is a deep unity, maintained by the will and deliberately strengthened by habit, reinforced by the grace which both partners ask, and receive, from God." ~ C.S. Lewis

 Made for You, Kirk Meyers
 (Watermarks: Made for You)

Darling, you should know by now
But I know I need to tell you how
I don't always have the words
But I pray that it's my heart you've heard

I love to hear your heart
Telling of your love
Telling me you'll stay forever
I thank you for your touch
And for loving me that much
To know the things I need to hear....

Remember I promised forever
Life brings change
But my promise is the same
And through these years we've been together
Life has made us grow
But through it all I know
No matter what may come
My heart was made for you forever

Darling I need to confess
It's hard to show my weakness
I want so much to show you strength
Without revealing everything

You know what I always say
"When your weak, your strong, to me"
It's another way of loving me
'cause when I see your heart
I get carried through
The reasons why I fell in love with you

Remember I promised forever
Life brings change
But my promise is the same
And through these years we've been together
Life has made us grow
But through it all I know
No matter what may come
My heart was made for you forever

You've dreamed with me
Every dream came true
You've shared with me every emotion
Every tear and every loss
Every road that we have crossed
I have always found a home in you

Remember I promised forever
Life brings change
But my promise is the same
And through these years we've been together
Life has made us grow
But through it all I know
No matter what may come
My heart was made for you forever

Wow, it has been so long since updating. Probably, because not much is going on. We're still working hard at our jobs. I am so ready to go to Europe in June - cannot wait! Here are some pictures from a new program we like playing with -

That's about it - Kirk is working the Tattoo show this weekend.
Planning on getting stuff done around the house.

He eats a lot!!! Just kidding.

Scary - two of me!

My Dad had his nose and mouth removed... haha

Christmas vacation

I hope this post finds you enjoying the holiday season ~ Merry Christmas and happy New Year from Kirk and me! Kirk and I are finishing up a much needed vacation and will be heading back home for Christmas.

I will be working Christmas Day and New Year’s weekend at the Hospital this year – not a tradition we are hoping to continue. Kirk will return to work to train an individual for his old job as the news promotions producer. He will begin his new job (at the same place) as a promotions producer shortly thereafter! We are very grateful he will be on a normal 8 to 5 schedule at work.

We have enjoyed celebrating the holidays in our house this year. We thoroughly enjoyed decorating our house with great Christmas décor we were blessed with from our wedding. This last week we hosted our community group’s Christmas party and sat 12 people at the table! We loved it!

Today Kirk and I took some time to go on a walk - fabulous. Did a little leisurely shopping. It was really nice - we have not had much time to ourselves lately without tons of stuff going on. Tomorrow we have another date day - yeah!!!! Really that's all I would want for Christmas - lots of date days with my husband! I love it.

Here are some pictures....

Christmas Preparation

We had a great time decorating our living room for Christmas. Kirk was very helpful in coming up with creative ideas.

We were able to use ornaments we bought after Christmas last year in Texas on our tree and it is beautiful!
This is us hanging ornaments - great scrapbooking pictures!

Us placing the star at the top - aren't we cute?

It is sad this year - I have to work Christmas day. Sigh!

Merry Christmas early to everyone!

Guns, Woods, and Freedom?

Well, we had a good weekend at our Mammaw's - enjoyed the outdoors and the freedoms that brings....=) guns!

Yes, I can handle a .380!

Making out in the woods? =) Just kidding - adults present!

Instead of "just the two of us" - it's not "just the four of us!"

1 year and 1 month!

You can see the smoke from the gun - and see Natalie's reaction.

The water was low, but the pond was still pretty.
